2011 APA Election Results
on Sunday, November 6, 2011Thank you to all those APA members who participated in our recent election for a new Board of Directors. Because we had such a small field (i.e., only 9 candidates, of which 7 were to be chosen), we ended up with several tie-votes. The out-going Board decided that, instead of going through the lengthy process of a run-off election, we would take advantage of a clause in the by-laws that allows the Board to increase the number of Board members to 9. Thus, all of the candidates are now Board members, and the APA can take advantage of every candidate’s willingness and energy to serve. If you decided not to run for the Board, but still want to help, remember that there are several committees that could use more members, including the Membership, Education and Fundraising committees.
