BLUE COLLAR QI GONG
In this one hour presentation, we’ll discuss (and sample) several variations of the foundational qigong exercise commonly known as “zhan zhuang”, or “standing like a post”. Included will be discussion of body alignment, control of tension, mechanics of breathing, and methods of visualization, gleaned from studies with Master Kuo Lien Ying, Master Erle Montaigue, Master Wang Yen-Nien, and others. Participants will get a chance to begin experiencing a bodily felt sense of what this work feels like, and will leave with two simple, straightforward exercises which they can practice on their own.
