About Class Instructor, Dr. Noel Nowicki:
A physician, teacher, and researcher, Dr. Nowicki has spent thirty years practicing medicine, the last sixteen practicing acupuncture, with over twenty years working with brain injured patients at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey. He is on the faculty of the Eastern School of Acupuncture and the faculty of HMI teaching acupuncture to physicians.
The topics covered during this seminar include:
- An introduction to scalp points for stroke and brain injury
- Demonstration and hands-on practice of scalp points insertion and electrical stim hook-ups
- Demonstration of scalp acupuncture and electrical stim on patient
- An introduction to pain and the step-wise control of pain
- Neuro-anatomical treatment of pain
- The treatment of pain with PENS (percutaneous electric nerve stimulation), including demonstration and hands-on practice
